include room scheduling and availability, room layout,
event/contact pricing, food, beverage, staff and
equipment required, inventory tracking, preset meals,
billing, event set-up/take-down times. Departments can
also be scheduled to prepare the function.
In order to insure smooth billing and accounting
procedure, hotel-catering software should be fully
integrated with the front desk software to generate one
bill for all hotel charges including catering. Hotel
catering software can also be integrated with other
hotel operations such as spa and activities management,
yield management, and accounts receivable. It is
important for hotel catering software to be linked to
the hotel property database so sales staff can have
real-time room availability.
